The morning of the 15th September started dull and overcast. By the middle of the morning, it was raining steadily, despite the forecast being that it would be dry 'except for a few showers'. It seemed that the showers were continuous and centred over Northcliffe Woods where the Bradford track is located. The gazebos were set up for the display of models and the rain came down even more heavily than it had. As 11 o'clock approached, the rain stopped and the sun came out just as Diane Carney arrived with Peter, daughter Lucy and their Peppercorn A2 locomotive 60529 Pearl Diver, clearly bringing the sun with them from Cumbria.
