PART 2: The Henry Ford Museum of American Innovation

A section in the museum called 'Heroes of the Sky' is devoted to aircraft. Henry Ford decided during the twenties that he wanted to do the same thing for aircraft that he had done for cars. He bought an established company and backed their efforts. Their most successful product was the Ford Trimotor and any resemblance to the Fokker Trimotor is probably not a coincidence. There were also court cases with Junkers over the use of Junkers patent features in the design.
