Cristal Union's sales of ethanol for hand-sanitisers and disinfectants are still far above the levels seen before the COVID-19 pandemic. During the peak month of May, about 33% of total sales would end in this market, compared with 2% before COVID, the company said. In June this dropped of to 25% and currently it is between 15 and 20% of total sales.
