PRESENTATIONS AT MPMD 2008: New Technologies for Medical Device Applications

摘要

Nanomaterials are defined as materials at the scale of 1 to 100 nanometers, and nano-technology is the exploitation of novel properties and phenomena at the same scale. Exotic new materials that are high-strength, lightweight, and multifunctional are made by clean manufacturing processes that build from the bottom up. They enable energy improvements in batteries and fuel cells, medical breakthroughs such as early detection imaging, targeted drug delivery, and bioengineered tissues.
