Carbon composite automobile achieves 330 miles per gallon

A two-seat passenger auto that will achieve up to 330 MPG and sell for under 20,000 dollars has reportedly been developed by Accelerated Composites LLC, Carlsbad, Calif. The lightweight composite material is said to enable this fuel efficiency in normal city and highway driving. Called the Aptera, the hybrid vehicle is said to provide acceleration and handling similar to that of a Honda Insight.
