KALKASKA, Mich. - Beckman Production Services, one of Michigan's longest continuously operated oilfield service companies, is embarking on a brand new chapter in its 50-year history, with new owner Duke Van Ark closing May 8 on the acquisition of the company from Denver-based Brigade Energy Services. It is the first venture into the oil and gas arena for Van Ark, a Michigan native who is sole owner, CEO and president of Grand Rapids-based Polaris Home Funding Corp., a privately held mortgage banking company with numerous branch locations in five states.
