Michigan oil and gas drilling activity up more than 25 percent in first 11 months nf 2018 over same period of 2017

MT. PLEASANT, Mich. -Michigan oil and gas drilling activity in the first 11 months of 2018 was up by more than 25 percent over the activity level in the same period of 2017, with a total of 58 drilling completions tallied by Michigan Oil & Gas News, compared to 46 for January through November of last year. Only 8 holes were drilled in the first quarter of 2018, with 18 holes drilled in the second quarter, 17 holes drilled in the third quarter and 15 holes drilled during October and November.
