Riverside Energy Michigan's recent acquisition of producing properties from Riviera Resources represents the fourth time that the Antrim Shale asset has changed hands since the first Antrim wells included in the package were drilled and put on production by their original operator of record,Grand Rapids,Michigan-based Wolverine Gas & Oil,in the late 1980s.1.The first acquisition came when Virginia-based Dominion,a principal working interest partner in Wolverine's Michigan Antrim Shale development activities,acquired the Wolverine Environmental Production,Inc.entity in 1997.2.The second transfer of the assets came in 2007,when HighMount Exploration & Production acquired the properties from Dominion.
