In this paper, a mathematical model and a computing algorithm are presented in order to establish the main parameters of converting process for copper matte, in order to ensure good process parameters. In this way both matte characteristics and oxygen content in blown air could be established by computation. Thuse, different types of converters could be utilised for copper concentrates melting or for byproducts melting, without any possibility to affect the main process indicators.
