MONOBLOCK LANCE HEAD FOR OXIGEN BLOW INTO THE CONVERTER

摘要

The low reliability of the lance heads used by SIDEX S.A. for oxygen blow into the LD converters imposed redesigning and changing the technology in order to improve the service performances.The paper presents comparative results regarding the reliability, the cost, and the durability of the wear lining and the metallurgical behaviour.The good results obtained in service, the low complexity of the new lance heads and the simplicity of the technology, allowed the introduction in service of the new model monoblock lance head.
