Americans in Great Measure

For more than 40 years, I have worked on my small but bully pulpit of the American stage to bring to the US the advantage enjoyed by most other countries: the use of SI standard of measurement as the nation's ONLY standard of measurement. However, among our supporters as well as our detractors, there seems to be a lack of understanding of some of the obstacles to achieving the goal. But, as Tom Hanks said in "Philadelphia," every problem has a solution. Over the last decade, I have categorized these problems under four adjectives describing US metrication. After years of muttering these to myself, I am now relieved to be suggesting them to the metric community.
