摘要

Systems biology with omics data refers to computational systems biology with special emphasis on high throughput data, including genomics, lipidomics, proteomics, foodomics, transcri-ptomics and metabolomics data. How to systematically investigate such big data for curation, storage, search, analysis, sharing, and visualization, is a challenging task [1]. From the systems biology perspective, a living organism can be regarded as a huge nonlinear biochemical reaction system which can be represented by the interactions of biomolecules including genes, RNAs, proteins and metabolites, thereby forming various types of subsystems or bio-molecular networks [2]. Omics data provide global view on such complex systems at molecular level, which can be used to systematically elucidate the dynamical behaviors and also molecular mechanisms of the living organism. Thus, from omics data to further extract essential information, developing effective methods and computational techniques is strongly demanded in the communities of both biology and medicine.
