摘要

In April 2012, the International Association for Education in Ethics was officially established. At the initiative of UNESCO, a group of international scholars in ethics education created this global platform for exchange of experiences in the teaching of ethics. The Secretariat is established at the Center for Healthcare Ethics, Duquesne University, Pittsburgh, USA (www.duq.edu/chce). Teaching ethics has a special significance at the global level and addresses a variety of different perspectives providing new insights into ethics from various cultural experiences from around the world. However, exchange of these experiences with education at the global level has been virtually nonexistent. Thus, establishing a platform to promote education in ethics at a global scale is an exciting new initiative.
