The 2000 ASM Annual Event brought students fr.om all over North America together to share ideas, discuss chapter issues, and network for graduate school and career leads. The excitement began on Sunday night, 8 October 2000, as the Annual Joint ASM / TMS Student Night kicked-off with a "Career Forum in Materials Science and Engineering." Following the presentation of select ASM and TMS scholarships, the more than 60 students in attendance at the forum had the opportunity to interact with a panel of four ASM and TMS members with backgrounds in education, industry, and government.
