Epoxy resin system specified for yacht hulls

Resin manufacturer Axson, Saint-Ouen l' Aumone, France, has received approval by Lloyd's Register of Shipping, London, U.K, for its Epolam 2015 epoxy resin. With this OK, the wet lay-up laminating system can now be specified for a wider range of marine applications. Current uses include racing yachts, pleasure craft, molded wooden boats, surfboards, and structures for French Navy submarines.The Epolam 2015 system includes several compatible and miscible hardeners, each hardening at a different speed. Axson says this provides "a flexible solution for a variety of applications and ensures optimal control of product reactivity."
