PROPRIETARY VISION CHIP-POWERED BAR CODE READER FOR INDUSTRIAL APPLICATIONS

The bar code reader is considered to be an essential device in a manufacturing plant and its logistics. Bar code readers should ideally be cost-effective, accurate, and highly efficient. However, the conventional bar code readers often do not meet these end-user expectations. The challenges for key bar code manufacturing companies have been to optimize the performance, restructure the power solution, and make one-dimensional (1D) and two-dimensional (2D) matrix bar codes readable. Conventional laser scanners are unable to read 1D and two-dimensional (2D) matrix bar codes. To address these challenges, innovative technologies such as vision-guided bar code readers and machine vision-based code readers were introduced in the market. However, these technologies could be unable to provide a complete solution to these challenges.
