摘要

Plants are a food resource and an inspiration for innovative technologies. To enhance the production of highyield crops, we need to identify physical and biochemical factors influencing plant development. Moreover, analysing the sophisticated microstructure of plant materials that have excellent strength-to-weight ratios may provide new ideas to design improved composite materials.
