Historical Notes: My Number

摘要

A friend was boasting to being in her prime lately, that is, a prime number denotes her age. On this definition, everyone is in their prime every once in a while. However, we don't all have an Erd?s number. Mathematicians have been identifying themselves by their collaborative link to the famous Hungarian mathematician Paul Erdos (1913-1996) since the 1969 paper entitled 'And what is your Erdos number?'.
