ACMA Puts Focus on Composites Growth Initiative

At the American Composites Manufacturers Association (ACMA - formerly the CFA) during Composites 2003 in Anaheim, California, a Brainstorming Session addressed the new Composite Growth Initiative (CGI). Richard Morison, the new president of ACMA for two years and Randy Weghorst, chairman of the Composites Market Development Alliance, jointly chaired the idea solicitation meeting. The Objective is to advance the growth of short-term and long-term markets in FRP composites for ACMA members, using a new growth model. This is the third leg of a triangle, building on ACMA successes in Legislation/Regulation and in Education. The Brainstorming Session was chosen as a mechanism to solicit new ideas for both market development and market expansion in FRP composites.
