Additive manufacturing techniques originally offered only rapid model development. However, constant advances in the field of the available materials and production techniques enabled manufacture of real applicable parts with additive techniques. These techniques include stereolitography, selective laser sintering, or fused deposition modeling, whereas product examples include ducts or fuel tanks for aerospace industry, custom bike parts or parts for pharmaceutical pill-dispensing systems.
