Mitsubishi Fuso Truck and Bus Corporation (MFTBC), one of Asia's leading commercial vehicle manufacturers, aims to start series production of fuel cell electric trucks by the late 2020s, in line with its vision to make all new vehicles for the Japanese market CO_2-neutral by 2039. MFTBC unveiled the Vision F-CELL, a light-duty fuel cell concept truck, at the Tokyo Motor Show 2019 last autumn [FCB, November 2019, p5]. The vehicle has been further elaborated into the eCanter F-CELL concept, a light-duty truck that was presented in MFTBC's home city of Kawasaki in late March. The vehicle has a range of up to 300 km (190 miles) and a significantly reduced refueling time of less than 10 minutes, maximising road time for end-users.
