Fortescue and CSIRO link with Hyundai to push green hydrogen

Fortescue Metals Group in Australia has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation (CSIRO) and South Korean automaker Hyundai Motor Company, to advance scientific collaboration and accelerate the development of renewable hydrogen technology. The MOU outlines areas of cooperation, including the development and future commercialisation of metal membrane technology (MMT) developed by CSIRO [see also pages 5 and 7], supported by a landmark partnership with Fortescue. Hyundai will seek to demonstrate the viability of the technology for 'green' hydrogen production and vehicle refueling in Korea.
