Climate change in the 'Mes Land'

The "Altes Land" is a fruit-growing area on the southwestern riverside of the Elbe, just opposite Hamburg. It is the biggest contiguous apple growing area in Germany. Dr. Matthias Gorgens of the Fruit-Growing Center Esteburg has investigated the possible consequences of climate change on fruit production.
