2017 was the year of the beautiful apricot season—the only beautiful season, I might add, in my California experience. Ever sincefeasting on the fruits of a short-lived Idaho tree many decades ago, I've had an undying but mostly unfulfilled craving for apricots. Not for those flavorless things you buy in the store, but for the really good ones right off thetree. The fruits of 2017 fully met my high expectations.
