Hembers °f tne Monterey Bay Chapter have natural bragging rights. For example, we are blessed with an excellent climate for growing apples. Thanks to our cool coastal summers, and extra long growing season, in the right microclimate we can produce nearly any apple variety that is worth cultivating. But we really prefer not to brag; instead we just openly celebrate our good fortune. One way we do that is with our annual apple tasting at Wilder Ranch State Park, a short drive to the west of Santa Cruz. The event is held in tandem with the park's Heritage Harvest Festival.
