Kinetica Energy Aims to Buy Patterson Facilities From Affiliate, Increase Rates

Kinetica Energy Express LLC and its affiliate Kinetica Deepwater Express LLC filed a pair of applications involving Kinetica Deepwater abandoning and selling its Patterson System facilities to Kinetica Energy at their net book value. As part of its Natural Gas Act (NGA) Section 7(c) certificate application (CP17-489) to acquire the facilities, Kinetica Energy proposed to increase incremental rates for the Patterson System once it is owned by Kinetica Energy, asserting that the higher rates are “badly needed and well justified.”
