FERC Approves Two Projects for Dominion Cove Point LNG to Connect to Natural Gas-Fired Generating Facilities in Maryland

On Oct. 20 FERC issued two certificate approvals for Dominion Cove Point LNG, LP, clearing its plans to supply natural gas to two electric generating plants in southern Maryland -- the St. Charles Project (CP15-22- 000) and the Keys Project (CP15-24). Dominion Cove Point submitted the applications on 12/3/14 for authority to construct and operate the pipeline-related facilities in Fairfax County, Virginia, and Charles County, Maryland in order to facilitate the delivery of gas to the generating plants.
