An agreement among OPEC+ nations to extend production cuts for another month failed to push global oil prices much higher on June 8. West Texas Intermediate was around $38/barrel mid- day June 8, with Brent crude priced in the low $40s/b, which is close to where they closed June 5, the day before the OPEC+ meeting.
