FERC Denies Betelgeuse Energy’s Complaint About El Paso’s Open Season

El Paso Natural Gas Co., LLC appropriately rejected Betelgeuse Energy, LLC (RP20-521) open season bids because the bids contained additional or modified terms that were improper and would have been discriminatory to other shippers, said the Commission in a June 18 order denying Betelgeuse’s complaint. The Commission also denied Betelgeuse’s request that the Commission find that El Paso was obligated to permit Betelgeuse to correct its bids.
