Glick Checking on Ability to Vote on Jordan Cove LNG Project

FERC Commissioner Richard Glick is checking with the Office of General Counsel (OGC) on whether he can vote on the Jordan Cove LNG project and related pipeline after speaking about the case during the February 20 open meeting, he told reporters March 4. The meeting included the odd procedural move of a vote being taken but no order issued. Glick and Commissioner Bernard McNamee voted no and Chairman Neil Chatterjee voted yes on the Jordan Cove item on the meeting agenda. Chatterjee and officials from OGC explained that the vote was not a rejection of the project. McNamee informed Chatterjee the morning of the meeting that he wanted more time to consider Oregon’s objection to the project, which came in form of a letter from the Oregon Department of Land and Conservation District (DLCD).
