Over the last couple of decades, the amount of data that retail, commercial and investment banks have about their customers and their transactions has become enormous. Many new techniques have been developed to extract useful information from this data in order to better predict customer behavior, market behavior and probabilities of operational risk events occurring and better detect fraud.
