摘要

Copper electro-refining has been for a long time the most important method used to purify the metal, and the currently used technology of this process has not evolved considerably. Recently, however, there is a new trend focusing on production of the high-grade cathodes and increasing of the intensity of the process. On the other hand, highly contaminated anodes produced from scrap are being used more frequently. These contradictory tendencies imply seeking a compromise with regard to the applied technology and motivate a search for new solutions.
