With the generous support of an AIFST Young Professionals Development Award, I travelled to Thailand in September 2016 to attend the Conveyor Drying Theory Put to Practice seminar in Saraburi. This was organised by Btihler Aeroglide, a global leader in thermal process engineering and technology for food, feed and industrial materials, in cooperation with Btihler Thailand.As a chemical engineer with Stahmann Farms in Queensland, a tree nut processor that uses many drying technologies to produce premium quality products, I was interested in attending a course that would help me make real changes to the business.
