India: Solenis-Colour developer for thermal paper

Solenis(headquartered in Wilmington,DE)has announced plans to expand its production of Pergafast-425 colour developer at its Ankleshwar paper chemicals complex in Gujarat.Colour developers are used in the formulation of the coating layer in thermal papers.They play a key role in developing the image on the paper when exposed to heat in the thermal printing process.Thermal paper is used in a variety of applications,such as shop and supermarket till-receipts and packaging labels.Pergafast-425 is seen as being an upgrade that will probably eventually supersede Pergafast-201.
