The October 2018 ^.D/included an article by Ms Kaur on the experiences of dental core trainees (DCTs) in maxillofacial surgery.1 When she presented these findings at the British Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons (BAOMS) annual meeting in 2017,2 the message of her survey was taken very seriously. Despite the flaws in the study (not least in nomenclature), we felt the results were so important that Ms Kaur, as a fellow-in-training of BAOMS, was awarded the Paul Toller Research Prize. In Paul Toller's obituary, he was described as a charming, warm man.3 We want to encourage all clinicians to follow his model of positive behaviour and to call out bad behaviour. To this end, we have taken the following steps.
