AB 848 is a mostly unpaved road that winds east and then northeast from Highway 564 south of Drumheller to Dorothy, AB and then north to AB 573. For a while 848passes through farmland and prairie, but as it approaches the Red Deer River, it drops down into a stunningly beautiful badlands coulee.
