IGEM'S LONDON,Southern & Eastern Section visited Williams Racing at the end of January for a technical presentation and bespoke tour of the Williams Heritage Collection.Unlike other F1 racing teams,that have the backing of large multinational companies and their marketing departments,the Williams team relies on revenue generated through other business streams,such as its technology and engineering services division.Williams Advanced Engineering(WAE)takes the engineering technology used by the F1 team and disseminates it to other industries,explained Stuart Olden,Senior Business Development Manager at WAE.
