Induction tempering: the modern alternative to oil tempered wire

OIL tempering (OT) is recognised as the traditional method of producing spring wire for cold coiling. However, due to environmental concerns with this process, induction tempered (IT) wire is growing in popularity. Additionally, spring makers for cold coiling applications are moving to IT wire due to its mechanical properties.
