UK: Despite signs of slowing demand,the final three months of 201 8 saw a number of new expansion projects among tire manufacturers.In Kranj,Slovenia,Goodyear is to expand capacity at its Dunlop Sava Tires plant by about 25% by 2022 with the addition of building equipment for larger rim-diameter tires.The €94-million project is intended to add 58,000 square feet to the factory and raise annual capacity at the facility by 1.8 million units.In Turkey,Prometeon Tyre Croup,the former Pirelli industrial tires unit,is investing €110.7 million in its Izmit plant.The project will raise production capacity by 75% in 2022.
