Reflections on the 4th Symposium on Metal Removal Fluids: Global Challenges

APPLICATION, INNOVATION, REGULATION: Those were the three themes of the UEIL (Independent Union of the European Lubricants Industry) 4th Symposium on Metal Removal Fluids that was held in Barcelona, Spain, September 14-16, 2011. Those of you who attended the Symposium or heard discussions about it at the October ILMA Annual Meeting in Orlando already know that our European trade association partners hosted a well-organized, informative and very successful conference. Many aspects of the Symposium presentations have been discussed previously. Therefore, I would simply like to state just a few personal reflections about the meeting.
