摘要

Natural bio-surfaces featuring complex hierarchical micro/ nanostructures have fascinated researchers and practical engineers in a variety of fields. Mimicking these natural patterns and shapes offers new insights and developments in optical, photoelectric, wetting, antibacterial, catalytic, and mechanical properties of artificial components in current industries. To popularize potential applications of the bio-inspired micro/ nanostructures, extensive efforts have been devoted to developing flexible nanofabrication methods with high resolution as well as high efficiency. Similar to conventional manufacturing at macroscales, nanofabrication methods can also be classified, according to structure formation modality, into top-down and bottom-up processes.
