Fitzgerald Lighting has recently been involved in the installation of a new LED lighting scheme at Better Bodmin Leisure Centre. Fitzgerald Lighting's Hi Sport LED luminaire was installed by award-winning building services management organisation Sherwoods. Sherwoods was appointed by GLL to upgrade Bodmin Leisure Centre's existing lighting to deliver an improved light quality and reduce their expenditure through lower energy bills and maintenance. Fitzgerald Lighting designed a special 133W Hi Sport LED luminaire for this project that could be easily installed into the pitch of the ceiling, without the need for trunking, and which met the required lux levels for an indoor tennis facility to LTA standards. 80 luminaires were used for the tennis centre sports hall.
