摘要

The effect of land use on soil fertility and soil acidity status were studied from five land uses, viz., Banana Orchard, Bench Terrace, Contour Terrace, Forest North-facing and Forest South-facing of experimental farm of during 2014-2015. The soils ofthe study area were acidic in reaction, varied from 4.33 to 5.00, high in organic carbon and low to medium in cation exchange capacity. Maximum available N and P recorded in Forest North-facing whereas, K was in Forest South-facing. Maximum available Al, Exchangeable Al, and exchangeable acidity were found in Contour Terrace, whereas, total acidity and pH dependent acidity were found in Forest North-facing. Organic C content exhibited significant positive correlation with available N, available P and pH dependent acidity.
