摘要

The current production trendin microalloyed plate is to useincreasing slab thickness toprovide larger percentagereductions. However, with theuse of mrcroalloying elementsto retard grain growth andpromote the formation of acicularferrite, large reductions maynot be necessary. This willbe investigated using the hotdeformation technique of planestrain compression testing.
