India is a world leader in providing information technology solutions across the globe, but it is really unsettling that this has not translated into higher levels of Automation in the Indian Steel Industry. The Indian Steel Industry is presently way behind the global levels in terms of embracing automation and also behind other sectors, like, Oil & Gas, Automobiles, etc., which is quite surprising, especially if one sees the benefits and Rol (Return on Investments) of investing in automation.
