Specialist grower of ornamental plants Coletta & Tyson has in recent years invested in both renewable electricity and heat generation technologies and is now adding a new 300 kW battery storage system at its site in Beverley,East Yorkshire.Supplied by storage specialist Connected Energy,the battery system uses second-life Renault electric vehicle batteries-an example of engagement in the circular economy,says Connected.The company has developed a long-term relationship with renewables specialist Boston Renewables,which first installed a solar PV system two years ago.The current project will see the battery system integrated with the existing 400 kW solar PV array.
