Exeter, Hackney begin moves towards net zero

Community interest company Exeter City Futures (ECF) has launched its Plan for a Net Zero Exeter, which sets out the series of practical actions, along with associated carbon savings and costs, that Exeter would need to put in place in order to become net zero carbon by 2030. The Plan includes 53,000 tonnes of carbon saving that would result if all of Exeter's electricity was to be generated from clean sources, as well as 140,000 tonnes of carbon saving if Exeter was to exploit the maximum potential for renewable generation locally.
