After the traditional August recess, Congress returns this month with an extremely busy agenda. Two items on that agenda stand out: passing a reauthorization of the nations highways and transportation infrastructure program and tax reform. Also crowding the agenda for the remainder of the year: raising the debt ceiling, another expiration of government funding (sequestration, anyone?) and a difficult vote on the Iran nuclear agreement.
