Medium-Chain and Long-Chain Chlorinated Paraffins U.S. EPA Current Status and Key Issues to Resolve

Regular readers of Compoundings are aware that the past few years have been challenging for chlorinated paraffin manufacturers and users in the U.S. Previous articles by myself and colleagues in the Chlorinated Paraffins Industry Association (CPIA) and the Independent Lubricant Manufacturers Association (ILMA) have discussed the history on this issue and our interactions with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). This article will focus on where things stand right now and what we see as the key issues to be resolved moving forward.
