Total Worker Health~(TM): An Interesting Initiative

As many of us were preparing to travel to the 2014ILMA Annual Meeting on the West Coast, another meeting was already in progress on the East Coast, namely, the 1st International Symposium to Advance Total Worker Health? (TWH) that was held October 6-8,2014 at the National Institutes of Health (NIH) in Bethesda, Maryland.1 Total Worker Health? is a trademarked strategy that traces its evolution from a series of National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) meetings held in 2004 and 2007 and the term "Total Worker Health?" came into existence in 2011. However, there has been little information about TWH available to the general public prior to the NIH symposium.
